Ok so actually I really like the lineart. This is a concept I've had in my head for a while. Theres actually a second part (person) that goes along with it...
But god damn....
I royally suck at coloring. It's like I've totally forgotten how...
Anyway... this, is considered complete. Until I decide on a strategy (or if i ever do) on how to color this so that it dosn't make it look like total crap, this is now an end product. So bumming me out cuz I really wanted this to be so much more. . .
This image is copyright me yadda yadda..... hope you guys can enjoy lineart x_X; ._.
as for coloring, if you make copies of the lineart, you can try different colors without messing up the original lineart. dun worry, your coloring skills will come back in time. its like riding a bike, you just gotta practice.

What program do you use? I use a handy chinese plugin for Photoshop 6.0, it "tears" away all the white pixels and leave the black ones, like you painted it on a cell. So coloring can be done in layers.
as a second thought, you could always ink/shade it in a sort of comic fashion? I did a piece like that recently on a whim and it turned up awesome. Worth a thought.
